North Kitsap Options Program

The NK Options Program mission is to provide North Kitsap students with community-based education that fosters the development of self directed, life-long learners through significant family involvement, interdependent, multi-age learning groups, and curricula that are responsive to the needs and interests of our students.

The Options Program is based on the beliefs that:

 •Children are participating members of their community.

 •Children are appreciated as individuals.

 •Children are powerful, responsible participants in their learning.

 •Children benefit from the process of “ learning how to learn.”

 •Children are assisted in their learning by the active participation of their parents.
